Large industrial binder jetting sand 3d printer from EASYMFG is on show at the 14th China international foundry expo
On May 17th, 2016, the 14th China International Foundry Expo was held at the Beijing International Exhibition Center (New Hall), with nearly a thousand companies from around the world participating. EASYMFG also showcased its large-scale industrial binder jetting sand 3D printer at this major event, attracting strong attention from the casting industry and the media.

China's casting industry, with a history of 6000 years, has applied casting technology from ancient bronze artifacts to modern aircraft engines. Casting involves pouring liquid metal into a mold cavity to obtain parts or blanks after cooling and solidification. The material used for casting is often a metal that is heated to a liquid state (e.g., copper, iron, aluminum, tin, lead), while the mold material can be sand, metal, or even ceramic. Traditional methods for producing wax molds, sand cores, and molds in the casting industry are complex and prone to problems, especially for complex engine molds, resulting in long development cycles that cannot meet the demand for rapid product iteration.

The application of 3D printing technology in the casting field brings hope to solving this problem. By combining 3D modeling design, 3D printing, and casting processes, 3D printers can directly print sand or wax molds instead of traditional manufacturing methods, enabling rapid transformation from design to product, shortening development cycles, reducing time costs, and speeding up product development.

At this exhibition, EASYMFG showcased its latest development: a large-scale binder jetting sand 3D printer. Industrial-grade 3D printers used in the mold industry mainly rely on laser sintering (SLS) technology, but the high cost of imported core components such as lasers poses a challenge. EASYMFG's domestically produced large-scale binder jetting sand 3D printer features the latest adhesive jetting system, flexible control system, economical maintenance costs, and simple operation. With a printing size of up to 1 meter and printing speed several times faster than SLS, its price is less than half that of SLS printers, offering the casting industry a new and intuitive technological experience.

Additionally, EASYMFG presented personalized portrait works created using the "Dou" app for personalized customization. Using cartoon character bodies and customer-supplied facial images, the app generates a 3D model, which is then printed using EASYMFG's domestically developed full-color gypsum powder 3D printer to create the final customized portrait.
